LUCIA FORDE
|
On
June 24th 2004 pupils, staff, representatives of the Parents' Association
and members of the school Board of Management gathered in St. Aidan's
N.S. to mark the retirement of Mrs. Lucia Forde N.T. from the teaching
staff of the school. Cards presented to Mrs. Forde from each class group
expressed the individual good wishes of all the pupils of the school and
their teachers. Tokens of appreciation were presented by Joe Curry, Chairperson
of the Parents' Association and by Fr. Paddy Kilcoyne, Chairperson of
the Board of Management. Fr. Kilcoyne thanked Mrs. Forde for her dedicated
service throughout her 36 years as a teacher in the parish of Kiltimagh
while Jim Fogarty, school principal referred to her care and concern for
each individual pupil. Ms. Vivienne Lee directed the school choir which
provided appropriate accompaniment to a fitting and well deserved tribute
to a popular teacher and well-loved colleague. The school and parish communities
wish Mrs. Forde a long and happy retirement.
