RETIREMENT OF MRS. LUCIA FORDE

On June 24th 2004 pupils, staff, representatives of the Parents' Association and members of the school Board of Management gathered in St. Aidan's N.S. to mark the retirement of Mrs. Lucia Forde N.T. from the teaching staff of the school. Cards presented to Mrs. Forde from each class group expressed the individual good wishes of all the pupils of the school and their teachers. Tokens of appreciation were presented by Joe Curry, Chairperson of the Parents' Association and by Fr. Paddy Kilcoyne, Chairperson of the Board of Management. Fr. Kilcoyne thanked Mrs. Forde for her dedicated service throughout her 36 years as a teacher in the parish of Kiltimagh while Jim Fogarty, school principal referred to her care and concern for each individual pupil. Ms. Vivienne Lee directed the school choir which provided appropriate accompaniment to a fitting and well deserved tribute to a popular teacher and well-loved colleague. The school and parish communities wish Mrs. Forde a long and happy retirement.
