Mrs. Mooney's Day of Celebration!
A special day of celebration was held to mark the retirement of Mrs. Petua Mooney from the staff of St. Aidan's N.S.The day began with a visit from the ice-cream man! You can see Mrs. Mooney and her class enjoying this treat.

The Entire School Celebrates!
All the children and staff gathered in the P.E. hall for an interlude of music and song to show their appreciation of Mrs. Mooney. The Parents' Association and some members of Mrs. Mooney's family also joined in the celebration. Fr. Kilcoyne, Chairperson of the Board of Management and some of its members also attended.Each class presented Mrs. Mooney with a special card with messages attached to mark the occasion.
Mrs. Mooney and the Majorettes
Mrs. Mooney always took a great interest in the preparation of the majorettes for the St. Patrick's Day Parade.They recited a special rap to thank her for all her help.Mary Johnson composed and choreographed this number.
Ms. Lee and the Choir

Senior pupils under the direction of Ms.Lee sang a number of songs specially chosen for the occasion As usual the standard of the singing was superb!

Mrs. Mooney taught Junior Infants for many years in St. Aidan's N.S. and before that in the Boys' National School. Above she is pictured with some of the Junior Infants she taught.
