Resently Tiger Woods won the British Open in St.Andrews in Scotland on the 17th of the 7th 2005. Tiger had a five shot win over the Scotish Colin Montgomreie. This is Woods second grand slam here on this wonderful golf course. Tiger is the yonugest player to have won two grand slams on this course, he fell in love with this course when he was an amateur in 1995. |

York, December 7: Tiger Woods was voted PGA Tour player of the year for
the seventh time in nine years on Tuesday, capping off a comeback season
that included major victories at the US Masters and British Open.
After undergoing a torturous swing overhaul that limited him to a single title in 2004, Woods returned to form and the top of the world rankings in 2005, claiming six titles and over $10 million in earnings. Along with the Jack Nicklaus trophy that goes to the player of the year as selected by his peers, Woods' crowded mantlepiece will also hold the Arnold Palmer Award as the Tour's top money winner and the Byron Nelson Award for lowest scoring average (68.66). |
