The title is "RIVERSIDE The Croke Park Conspiracy" and the author is Peter Regan.

There are 110 pages in the book. It is about a football team called Riverside and their home pitch is the Park and a woman called Mrs.O’Leary wants to take down the goalposts but Mr. Glynn (coach) and Harry Hennesy (manager) and Riverside boys don’t want them taken down. So in the end they get portable goals. In the league, Riverside boys are planning to get to Croke Park but they don’t get there because they get beaten in the quarterfinals. The main characters are Chippy, Flinstone, Mad victor, Mad Henry and Jimmy. The other characters are Brains, Mrs.O’Leary, Mr. Glynn, Harry Hennesy, Heather McFadden and Terry O’Sullivan. Terry Myler’s illustrating is very good. I recommend this book for 8-12 years old. I like this book a lot because it’s not talking about football all the time, it talks about other stuff as well, e.g.Chippy, Flinstone, Mad Victor, Mad Henry and Brains do a fruit n’veg round every morning.
