There is nothing to compare with a good brisk in the Irish countryside at this time of the year. The Clogher Bog Loop Walk with its trailhead at Clogher Heritage Complex (just 3 miles from Ballintubber Abbey) offers an ideal walk through the boglands in South Mayo.

The surface underfoot is dry and with virtually no vehicular traffic it offers an ideal location for a tranquil experience with easy access from the towns of Castlebar, Claremorris or Ballinrobe.
