It's important that we all play our part in helping to solve the growing congestion and pollution in our towns and cities. Cycling is a natural choice for many, it's free, it's healthy, it reduces the number of cars on our roads which in turn cuts down on the levels of exhaust emissions. The importance of Cycle to Work Week has become more relevant than ever before with the impact of fuel increases, which have been a concern and continual burden for everyone running a car.

The photos say it all, as Mr Peter Jordan (senior emergency control operator at Camp West) makes his five-mile journey to work on his bike with trailer attached on Thursday June 18th. Peter said "The best thing about cycling is everything- fresh air, exercise, fun, no environmental impact and importantly for thrifty types like me ..bloomin’ cheap and seeing things I wouldn't see from a car…. ".
