Tree Planting In Castlebar - Volunteers Wanted
19, Apr 2011 - 21:40

Are you interested in learning more about planting fruit and nut trees?

Are you interested in joining a dynamic group of volunteers to plant trees in Castlebar?

If so, why not come along to the Community Garden on Easter Saturday next (23 April 2011) to plant a variety of trees including apple, plum, damson, cherry and nut varieties suitable for the West of Ireland.

This is organised by Mayo Sustainability Forum, who has received funding under the Local Agenda 21 Environmental Partnership. The trees, and subsequently the fruit and nuts provided by these trees, will belong to the residents of Castlebar after planting.

If you want to participate on this innovative and exciting project, come along to the Community Garden at An Sruthán/Cois Abhainn estates on the Old Turlough Road on Saturday next at 12 midday.
