If we have to have one of these then can we please point out that people can indulge in idle banter. I've been on sites before where the introduction of overly serious and complex statements has stiffled and discouraged newcomers.
Personally I think that if enough regulars take the responsibility to answer peoples initial queries, like Roses today, then we may not need such a statement.
