However, I think Bill is correct in his discription of this as a virus.
This sort of thing is designed to clog up corporate networks and to waste time.
However, a similar type virus is known but not yet in the field. Its called 'BlueBoy' and can infect a PC merely by pre-viewing the mail in MS Outlook. It works because Outlook can read mail in html format and this virus is embedded as a VB script in the html. It works on Windows '95 but not on NT Sever and workstation (4.1+).
