Castlebar St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee is delighted with the interest in the number of people participating in this year's parade. With the parade being hosted on Sunday, March 20th at 2.30pm, the committee has found that people who have floats constructed for their own town parades now are keen to come to Castlebar and get two day's use from their float. There is a cash prize for best float so do not dismantle yours on the 17th but bring it to Castlebar on the 20th!! The parade will be broadcast live on CRC FM from Market Square so make sure to tell your friends abroad to tune in. The theme of the parade this year is "Ireland: 1916 - 2016" but all floats will be welcome. Féile an Chaisleáin will be the focal point of entertainment for families again this year on Market Square with plenty of fun taking place there so make sure you make a date for Castlebar on March 20th!
