Film - 21 Nov at Linenhall Theatre ADVENTURE FILM NIGHT Thursday 21st November @ 7.30pm The Why Not? Adventure Film Festival is an annual adventure sports film festival that takes place in various locations around Ireland. For 2013 the festival will travel to Dublin, Galway and Castlebar for one night each. The festival combines adventure sport films with short films. For the Castlebar leg of the festival, the feature length award winning film McConkey will be screening along with over an hour of short films. McConkey is a heartfelt examination of the legacy one athlete left to the progression of his sports, and the path he paved to conquer his dreams. Shane McConkey is revered as a pioneer of freeskiing and ski-BASE jumping, and through his talent and ability to use his trademark irreverent humor, he inspired countless lives. In a new film from Red Bull Media House in association with Matchstick Productions, "McConkey" celebrates the life of one of the world's ultimate innovators.
