History of the Civil Parish of Lacken.

The history and legends of each townland in the Civil Parish of Lacken is now available on compact discs, (CD’s). The discs contain maps, pictures of people (alive and passed on), ring forts, ancient religious sites, ancient burials, artefacts, and stories of legends. The townlands are :- Lissadrone East, Lissadrone West, Aughaleague, Ballynaleck, Ballymurphy, Barnhill Upper, Barnhill Lower, Baro, Billoos, Beltra, Carn, Carrickanass, Carrowcullen, Carrowmacshane, Carrowmore, Castlelacken, Castletown, Cloonalaghan, Cloonanass, Conaghra, Lacken Glebelands, Gortatoor, Keelogues Upper, Keelogues Lower, Killogeary, Knockboha, Lacken and Lecarrowntemple.
