St. Mary's Catholic Church boasts of a  wonderful collection of Harry Clarke stained glass windows, and a example of work executed by Joshua Clarke, the father of Harry Clarke, another beautiful window came from the Harry Clarke Studios.

The group stopped for chat at the Bower.

The event ended with a pleasent walk to the Bower and the canal which was built through the area in the 19th century.

There was some interesting comments coming  from the local people on the walk, and it all added to the interest and enjoyment of the outing.
