Mayo Historical & Archaeological Society.

Prof. Michael O'Connell, Wednesday night's speaker.

"Long-term change in coastal environments in western Ireland: new data, fresh insights" is the title of an illustrated lecture to be given to the society on Wednesday, December 7th at 8 pm. The venue is the GMIT Campus, Castlebar. The speaker will be Ptofessor Emeritus Michael O'Connell, NUIG.

Prof. O'Connell has worked for many years at sites throughout Ireland, Europe, and as far away as China. He has developed an easy style which makes all the intricaces of his work understandable to the lay person.
