Sure Tiogar - we just wanted to hold back until the 'launch' on the 29th while we finalise the details.
We want to attach a certain degree of 'exclusivity' to the castlebar.ie e-mail addresses. Thus, they won't be given out freely. They will accompany the t-shirts, for example. We may just award them to frequent posters also (such as yourself!) - in return for all the fun that people are obviously getting out of the bulletin board. The posting prizes will turn into something tangible beyond the 'glory' of being listed! It may also just encourage more posters out of the ether! Similarly, anyone displaying a bumper stickers or shop stickers will be given an e-mail address.
The castlebar.ie addresses are hosted on the server here and can be forwarded to other addresses (we won't be doing dial-up access). The e-mail will be accessed over the web similar to hotmail or ireland.com
Castlebar.ie e-mail addresses will also be available with web sites hosted here for commercial companies. Full domains hosted here will also be able to have email addresses at their own domain names info@yourbusiness.ie for example.
