What wonderful things are people doing to celebrate the end of the 20th Century and the beginning of the 21st. But also what about the start of the Third Millennium next year?
It's here folks - next Friday Night. Are you going to look back in a year or two and say I wish I had done something significant? Obviously we can't all rent Delphi Lodge for a princely sum or be in Antartica on a cruise ship with Matt Molloy or fly in the Concorde with the sunrise across the Pacific.
Or is the whole thing just too traumatic and the best approach is to just watch the box with family and friends and see what the rich and famous are up to?
A visit to the pub - if you are a regular somewhere you have probably been already issued a ticket for the night?
Plant a millennium oak tree in the garden?
See the sun rise for the first time in Castlebar the 21st Century?
Bury a time capsule? Take a set of turn of the Century photogaphs of Castlebar?
Anyway still plenty of time during the year for the Millennium stuff as the real Millennium doesn't start until January 2001!
