I hear that the paris celebrations were well received with 2 million on the Champs-Elysee to welcome in the New Year. At 12 lastnight there were about 2 people rambling round main street castlebar so I don't think we are in line for the Price of best Millennium celebration. Am I the only one disappoiinted in the lack of any sort of event here in Castlebar to mark the start of the 21st. century. Dublin had a lacklustre celebration as well. Anyway time to toddle off and check out what they did in Sligo lastnight.....
