A furthur comment on the so called celebrations in Castlebar. I don't know how many of you went to the TF on new years eve but I was there and very few others. It was unjust to demand £15 for this event as many of you know this is 3 times the usuall asking price, I wonder were those employed paid by the same multiplier. This was high handed greed by the organiser to exploit this momentous occasion for so many, it would have been understandable if it was a Party as had been advertised by it was the same TF at its very worse minus the overcrowding. The toilets (although never particularly cleen) were outrageous. I aggree with "Disgruntled" that its over due that The Connaught Telegraph deviated from its pathetic "back slapping" mode and tried journalism, what did John Maughan do with his expenses??????
