There's been a lot of grousing about the festivities over the New Year. A word of praise then for the really successful Millennium Gala Concert at the TF on Monday. A packed hall heard the musical talents of Castlebar and Mayo assembled in the one place. The finale with some 200 artists on stage blasting out Beethoven's Ode to Joy, Verdi and Auld Lang Syne with orchestral accompaniment was a moment to be remembered! Acoustic Fireworks!
