Tales of St Patrick

Award-winning storyteller Rab Fulton will be at the Museum of Country Life for a wonderful free family event celebrating St. Patrick, this Saturday, March 18. Suitable for adults and children, aged four to seven, Tales of St. Patrick will see Rab performing magical and captivating stories in his own inimitable style, bringing our most famous saint to life. Tales of St. Patrick runs from 11.30am to 12.30pm. This is a free event but booking is required as numbers are limited. Stories of Saints and Snakes

Rab Fulton will perform a second storytelling session, suitable for adults and children aged seven plus, from 2 to 3pm on Saturday, March 18. Stories of Saints and Snakes will see Rab perform a collection of action-packed tales based on the folklore and myths surrounding St. Patrick. St. Patrick's Day traditions explored

Learn all about the many ways in which Ireland's much-loved patron saint was celebrated in times gone by.

There is an in-depth display on St. Patrick's Day customs and traditions on Level C in the award-winning galleries of the Museum of Country Life. Admission to the exhibition galleries is free. The exhibitions offer visitors the opportunity to get up close to the lives of our rural ancestors through a range of visual and audio displays, objects, rare photography and archive film footage. Museum opening hours

The National Museum of Ireland - Country Life is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 5pm, and on Sundays from 2 to 3pm. Brambles Café in the courtyard is open during museum opening hours with extended opening on Sundays from 12noon.
