on display at the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life
The famous medieval reliquary, the Mias Tighearnáin, St. Tiernan's Dish, has traditionally been associated with Errew near Crossmolina, Co. Mayo and has been in the care of the National Museum of Ireland since 1999. Admission to all lectures is free. Booking necessary, as places are limited Location: Museum Galleries Level 0

Wednesday 17 November: 2.30pm
Talk and Demonstration
Pickle your Herrings, Salt your meat and be sure of plenty to eat!
Join Jean Beattie to hear about the importance of preserving the harvest.

Sunday 21 November: 2.30pm
Talk and Demonstration
Musical Instruments
Craftsman Paul Doyle carries on the tradition of violin making, the family business since the 1890's. See a variety of stringed instruments as he explains his craft.
Admission Free. Booking necessary, as places are limited. Location: Museum Galleries Level -2
