Leading musicians and singers from all over County Mayo will feature in a tribute Concert to the Late Joe Keane of Tiernaur, Newport, on Friday night May 9th at 8.45 sharp to mark the official opening of Fleadh Ceoil Maigh EO which takes place in Newport over the weekend.

Guests on the night will include Musical Friends of the late Joe Keane who played with him in the Derradda Community Centre and other areas as well. The line-up includes John Hoban, John F Chambers, Dominick Grady, Padraig Moran, Tony McHale, Rose Nixon, Mary and Eamon Connolly, Mick Lavelle. Other Artists from Westport and Louisburgh include Gary Hastings, Seamus Heneghan, Realin and Noel O'Grady, John Hegarty and Noel Kenny. They will be joined on stage by the Inish Turk Half Set. From East Mayo will be Peter, Seamus and Tommie Duffy, Maureen Knight, Michael and Ann Conboy, Pat Lyons and Joe Byrne MWR and all Ireland Harpist Grainne Hambly. From North Mayo come Paddy Mills, Joe Carey, Brian and Maeve Gallagher. Others taking part will include Tom and Kevin Doherty, The Langan Family, Marie and Timothy McHugh, Kevin Corbett and Paddy Kilroy, Also The Ciabh Rua Group will also make an appearance.
The concert will be recorded by Radio na Gaeltachta and will be transmitted the following week on the Radio.
