From www.castlebar.ie General A charity event for AIDS orphans in Kenya will be held in Mantra on this Friday 18th of July. The event is in aid of the charity Harrambee which is raising money for children whose parents have been affected by the AIDS virus in Kenya. Three Castlebar natives, Laura Heneghan, Lorna Connell and Michael Gannon intend to fly to Kenya in the coming months to see these children that they are helping and the orphanage that is being built with the money raised. So, on Friday night, 18th of July at 10 pm in Mantra Nightclub, The Welcome Inn, Castlebar a night of music and dance will be held. Admission is 10 euro and there will be bands ranging from Blues to Rock to Trad to Gospel, together with traditional Kenyan dancers and other special guests! It will certainly be an action-packed night and ALL proceeds go towards the charity Harrambee for AIDS Orphans in Kenya. SO its cool and its all for a good cause!
