Turlough residents object to major recycling plant
An Taisce and the Turlough Residents' Association have both objected to the Waste Recycling and Transfer facility. Their objections were lodged to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) after a licence was granted last January to McGrath Industrial Waste Ltd. to build the facility. A meeting was held in Turlough on February 12th that was attended by over fifty residents of Turlough. It was decided to object to the facility because it was located in an "attractive area of heritage landscape".
