Contracts for €10m. County Courthouse ready
In the next few weeks the contracts for the new County Courthouse will be signed. The existing courthouse in Castlebar will be reconstructed, refurbished and extended at its present site on the Mall. The work will be done by a Galway construction company and should be completed in two years. For over a year now no court business has taken place in the courthouse as the judges and solicitors have refused to sit in the court in such appalling conditions.
