The Rotary Club of Castlebar is holding its annual Charity Film Night in aid of local Castlebar charities at Mayo Movie World on Thursday 15th December. This years’ movie is the widely acclaimed new King Kong Blockbuster. This movie is expected to do very well at the academy awards this year, which is not surprising, having spent over $200 million on making the movie. Over $32 million alone was spent on special effects. By all accounts the old ‘King Kong’ will not hold a candle to this new Monkey! The film stars Naomi Watts (Ann Darrow) Adrien Brody (Jack Driscoll) and Jack Black (Carl Denham) and is directed by Academy Award Winning Director Peter Jackson who directed Lord of the Rings.

On the night there will be wine before the film, followed by a 7.30pm showing of the movie and afterwards some finger food and lots of ‘craic’ in Hog's Heaven. This Annual Rotary event is always a good night out and most importantly all proceeds go to charities in Castlebar. Tickets at €15 are available from Vivienne 094-9026663 or any Rotary Club Member.
