On last Wednesday 5th July 2006 Ireland West Airport Knock celebrated its four millionth passenger. To mark this occasion, unsuspecting holidaymaker Mary Croghan from Castlerea, Co. Roscommon travelling on Mayo Travel's charter to Crete was surprised with a shopping spree and holiday gift voucher after checking in.

Mary and her party of seventeen holidaymakers were whisked through to the newly expanded airport shop where they were greeted by Midwest Radio’s Paul Claffey to play "The Airport Generation Game." Mary was shown a fabulous array of forty products from leading giftware, cosmetics and airport travel brands from the airport travel shop such as Waterford Crystal, L’Oreal, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Lily O’Brien's, Timex and Guinness.

With forty seconds on the clock, Mary had to recall as many products as she could from the list live on radio. What she could remember she would win! With a little help from Paul and her friends, a delighted Mary claimed all forty prizes even the infamous cuddly toy! Patricia Ronane, MD of Mayo Travel also presented Mary with a €200 euro travel voucher.
