The Royal Theatre, Castlebar has a great line-up of music in store for this weekend (6 and 7 Oct 2006), including some of Ireland’s greatest music legends and a world famous gospel choir!

On Friday night, 6 Oct, join world renowned harmonica player and movie star, Don Baker, former lead singer of The Dubliners, Ronnie Drew and celebrated singer and uilleann piper, Finbar Furey, "Hailed as the Prince of Pipers", for Working Class Heroes – a night of excellent music, exceptional voices and above all, a good session with the country’s greatest legends! This is a rare occasion to see them perform live together for one enchanting evening of song, story, ballad, folk, blues and amazing talent. An evening of pure Irish magic, great music, good humour, and the charm and sparkling wit associated with Ireland's greatest raconteurs.

And on Saturday night, 7 Oct, witness the world famous Harlem Gospel Choir’s thrilling, foot-stomping, hand clapping show of blues, jazz and gospel spirituals with special guests, the Castlebar Gospel Choir. Their songs of inspiration touch the depths of the soul and raise spirits to angelic heights. Having performed for Nelson Mandela and the Pope, and performed with the Chieftains and U2, the Harlem Gospel Choir will once again sweep audiences onto their feet with their magnificent tide of euphoric music.

Tickets for both shows are available from the Royal Theatre Box Office by calling 0818 300000, online: www.royaltheatre.ie or from all usual outlets.
