From www.castlebar.ie Castlebar Rotary Club Would you like the opportunity to showcase and sell your art this Christmas? Castlebar Rotary are running an Art Showcase evening which will give professional and amateur artists the opportunity to sell some of their work to the Christmas market. The event will afford the general public the opportunity to buy that ‘special’ Christmas present for a friend or loved one. An exciting and unique display of original art from local talented artists is promised. The event will be the first of its kind to be run in Mayo. The Rotary club expect business to be brisk on the evening with art lovers having the opportunity to purchase directly from the artist and in doing so also support a local Mayo charity. The Art Showcase will be run on Thursday 7th December in Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar. Art lovers will be invited to view the art on display, chat with the artists, sample some cheese and wine and hopefully purchase a painting or two. Castlebar Rotary are running this Art event in support of the Mayo Pink Ribbon Appeal. This is an excellent local charity, which fund raises for breast cancer in Mayo. All sales from the show will be subject to commission, which will go directly to the Mayo Pink Ribbon Appeal. The event will be widely promoted and advertised in Mayo and the surrounding counties. Artists should not miss this excellent opportunity to sell their work and support a worthy local charity.
