From www.castlebar.ie Leisure Planning for this years St. Patrick's Day Parade, which will take place on Monday 17th March, is at an advanced stage. It is hoped to make this year's celebrations the most spectacular ever. Over the years, Castlebar's parade has grown into one of the provinces largest and the 2003 parade committee are confident that the high standard and reputation of the event will be maintained this year. Anyone with any ideas for a parade theme or novelty suggestions that they would like to see incorporated into this year's event are invited to contact Chairman Paul Ainsworth 25612 or Secretary Johnny Mee on 21022 to offer their input.
