Jeanie Johnston in Cork

The Jeanie Johnston was docked in Cork during January. It was docked just south of the last bridge to cross the lee, at the entrance to the North Channel, or in lay mans terms right beside Jury’s Inns. You can see the skyline is riddled with cranes. This is part of the docklands development for the European City of culture gig in 2005.

In this shot you have the R&H Hall flour millers in the background. A fairly popular area for city pigeons and rodents,

I see Tom Doyle managed to get himself a parking place ahead of the Jeanie Johnston.
