The 3rd Annual SuperValu 10K Walk for Hospice will take place from Supervalu on Sunday 13th May at 2.00 p.m. Registration is from 1.00 p.m. Sponsorship Cards are available from the hospice office at The Mall , Knock, Tel. 094-88666, or there is an entry fee of £10 for those who don't wish to take Cards. This event has been delayed this year due to Foot and Mouth Restrictions, but it is hoped for a good turn out on the day, as it raises much needed funds for the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation.

There will be refreshments after the walk for all participants, and each will recieve a T-Shirt and be entered in a draw sponsored by Supervalu. Once again, sincere thanks to Mr. Padraig Carney, Manager and all at O'Connors Supervalu in Castlebar for their commitment to the 10K walk, now in its 3rd year. Their sponsorship is much appreciated.

This is not a race but a fun walk around the town of Castlebar and is an ideal occasion for a family to get involved in a little light exercise, or indeed for the experienced walker who will miss out on the annual walking festival this year. Come One Come All and support this event and help people who are not in a position to help themselves. Hospice Services are available free of charge to all who require their care, and the projected cost to operate the services for the year 2001 are £600,000.
