Athlone Flooding
28, Feb 2014 - 09:03

Norwegian TV had a big hit with a programme of a 7-hour drivers-eye view of train journey across Norway. Castlebar.ie's answer is a series of 25 photos of the flooded fields taken from the 12:45 train from Dublin as it pulled out of Athlone heading towards Roscommon, (plus Castlerea, Ballyhaunis, Claremorris, Manulla Junction, Castlebar and Westport) - taken on 27 February 2014. The flooding of the Shannon into the fields is dramatic - some pretty confused swans.
