Bringing good cheer. The Castlebar Concert Band have traditionally played Carols around the town at Christmas - and Christmas 2007 is no different.

The Castlebar Concert Band playing carols at the top of a busy Main Street - just outside Kilkellys.

Tesco's - busy 24 hours a day at the moment. But only a few dozen cars outside at 3am in the morning. Are they open on Christmas Day? Prob'ly not

All lit up for Christmas. Can you guess where this photo was taken?

The new look Polish Shop - looking very smart - providing Polish delicacies to expats and Castlebarbarians alike.

John O'Donnell's Pharmacy on the corner of Cavendish Lane and Ellison Street. There'll be lots and lots of last minute shoppers there on Christmas Eve.

Down Cavendish Lane - shoppers looking for last minute gifts and Christmas cheer.

Winter exposure - twas cold and windy on Sunday but at least the heavy rain held off until late in the afternoon

Tesco Car Park. Like lobsters entering a pot - it's easy enough to get in but it ain't so easy to get out again with the new-fangled traffic management that forbids left turns towards Market Square. ALL of Dunnes and Tesco cars are funnelled into one lane and have to turn right across the traffic. It can take QUITE a WHILE to get out.

Santa and his reindeer arriving at the top of Ellison Street to oversee proceedings.... Have you been naughty or nice?
