Christmas Lights on the Mall

The view from the library across the Mall.

Simple white lights - much better than blue LEDs which seem to have sprung up everywhere.

Digital cameras allow dark subjects to be photographed fairly easily once you have a tripod or something steady to put the camera on. This exposure is 0.6 second at f 5.6 ISO 100.

The moon above the Garda Station and lights reflected back

And the lights on the trees are also reflected in the Library windows.

Christmas Eve started out quite sunny but some heavy showers in the late afternoon gave a wet surface - reflecting the tree lights nicely into the lens.
