Yosemite has redwoods. This one wide enough to drive a car through
Root of a fallen redwood
A spectacular enclosed valley
Among the redwoods
Yosemite has some spectacular waterfalls.
And wildlife including bears and deer.
You are warned not to go to near the base of the waterfall as rockfalls are common with a number of fatalities over the years.
Beautiful wild rivers through the valley.
Zooming in we spotted these climbers on the side of El Capitan.
El Capitan 900 m tall.
Climbers take days to scale the sheer face, sleeping on narrow ledges.
It's sheer and vertical. Some feat by the two climbers who made it free climbing - Kevin Jorgeson and Tommy Caldwell are the first climbers to do so without aids, except for harnesses and ropes to prevent deadly falls.
