Manulla Junction looking pretty murky yesterday in one of the wettest days we've seen in the West of Ireland in a long time - and we've had a lot of wet days recently. The sign is barely readable with the rain on the window.
You can't get onto the train here directly from Balla itself - it is purely a junction for those travelling to or from Foxford and Ballina.
The train stops at Manulla Junction aka Gabhal Maidh Nulla - and Irish Rail/Iarnród Éireann are good at the Irish commentary - every station is announced as Gaeilge as well as in English.
The rest of us head on to Castlebar and Westport, Cathair na Mart - back from the big smoke.
