Northabout
The Northabout approaches Westport
The sailing boat sail into the harbour.
The vessel is tied up at the quay.
How far will you go on 2 drums of gas when you
have 2 tons of provisions in the hold.More provisions
were added in Westport.
The Mayo flag was proudly flying on the bow.
The vessel is officially named by John McClintock.
John addresses the crew and the crowd on the quay.
A number of yachts accompanied the Northabout into
the harbour.Guess who was on board one of them, none other
than our own Michelle Rowley.
The media was well represent for the departure.
Thee boat and crew were blessed for the departure.
All the goodbys have been said ,more food has been
put aboard so now it's time to face the sea.
About she goes.
The sails are hoisted
She looked magnificant as she cleared the pier
As she sailed into the sunset we wish her fair winds.
and may god protect all who sail in her.
