I see paddy Mac Guinness Is looking for Nostalgic stories about the Contest,that ran for 22 years.It was the x factor of my day,talent from all over the world came to Castlebar for One week.There was Different categories of song on each night.It was a show Piece to be proud off.........until it was taken over by RTE.
It then died a slow death.

It shoud be Brought back again,it gave the town a great lift.The TF can now hold 4000,well able to cater for large crowds.
