The first Castlebar man on TV (Telefis Eireann) was Richard Condon (Jnr)in February 1962 when he appeared in a play called "Comeback". Hailing from Richard Street, he became well known in drama and music circles when he played the part of 'Coogan' in Brendan Behan's "The Quare Fellow".
