Sorry to pre-empt Murrisk.How sad to read about the fire in the old Convent building.I know the nuns have been out of there for many years,but was there anyone in it recently?As a child going to school I may have been in the actual Convent 2-3 times.I will always remember how it smelled of furniture polish or beeswax maybe.Many nuns lived there over the years.Mother Lawrence,Sr Columba,Sr Oliver,Sr Vincent,Mother Muiredach.Sr Alacoque,Sr Kevin,Sr Immaculata,Sr Magdalen,Sr Teresita,Sr Assumpta,Sr Pius,Sr Consilio,Sr Perpetua,Sr Cecelia,Sr Agnes and many more that dont readily come to mind.
