I remember the laughing bits so well! You were lucky if you didn't get a "sceilp". And the trimmings went on for what seemed like an eternity. I'd say very few families say the family rosary nowadays, and eventhough, they say that organised religion is only a shadow of its former self, I can tell you the church in Castlebar was packed to capacity for the 12.30 mass last Sunday. Standing room only, so some people still go!
