The Hoban family emigrated to to Australia around 1958-60 (?). Facing Westport, their house was the first on the left past the sruthán which flowed from Mount Daisy to Lough Lannagh, and there was a well in the back yard. I remember being in that house for Halloween the year before they left for Australia with Kearneys, Mongans, Murphys and other Hobans.
