Why have a fort in such a position,what
were they guarding,why as JDP states is
the laneway called Castle Road.
I can only imagine the cavalry attacking
a fort beneath a hill as a sitting duck?
MY cavalry being the US cavalry of course.
Any insight as to why its called Blackfort?
