I saw some photos of Tuckers on the main page a while back - link below. As far as I know there is a board controlling the level of Lough Lannagh - it's kept low so that the farms have more dry land for cattle - that was the reason for draining the Moy in the 50s and 60s I guess. Too much phosphate in the water combined with low levels - farm runoff and probably cattle slopping around in the water adding their 'load' directly ? Sauleen has been a mess for years - it takes all the runoff from Baxter, Volex, etc.
