Thanks for the info, UTP. there is a reason for my madness, When my Mother arrived from the U.S.A. many days before to-day Along with her 4" cookbook, she had a handwritten recipe for a choclate cake called "Crazy Cake"( the recipe was lost over the years). The recipe called for correctly made chocolate and crumbled up biscuits which I believe were Marrieta biscuits the chocolate was poured over the biskits and mixed like cement patted into shape and let set for 24hrs.. Now in those times - wehad Jacobs cream crackers, the delicious Goldgrain, kimberly biscuits, and the crackers or biscuits a step below , kind of plain but sweet were the ones, and i believe they were Marieta (E) biks or crackers. I am determined to reproduce this recipe as it was mouth watering,and she only made it on special occasions, Christmass and Birthday's.
