I have just read JDPs. memo of October 11 2003 and I was delighted to see that Tom Ketterick now ninety years of age is living with his daughter in Ballina seemingly in good health.
Tom without being a paragon of virtue was nevertheless a meticulous individual and his house and surrounds was ample evidence of the excellent care he took of his property.
I lived as you might say next door to the Kettericks in the big house just inside the Military Barrack's gate. I would love to get my hands on the Sean Rice Interview wwhich JDP says was published in the Mayo News Oct. 8, 2003. I myself celebrated my 88th birthday on July 10 this year and as the old saying goes
"if I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself" Best wishes and regards to Tom and his family - let's hope the Sean Rice interview is reprinted. Tim Daly
