I was just thinking on my way to school when I was a little one I passed Hanleys at Station Road, The Nook (if I am right), Lyons, Gavins and then Hanleys again. No wonder I have a sweet tooth. It came back to me about the queues at May Leonards--we were very clever when we went to St Angela's instead of all of us going down we had a rota where one person went and got the booty of sweets for the gang. So we would not have to wait to long! I have a vague memeory that if you stayed in for lunch at St Angelas you could not go down town without permission so it was a covert operation to sneek out. I am sure the nuns rued May Leonard.
