You might want to try some of the old Mayo newspapers for details - Mayo Mercury, Mayo Constitution or the Mayo Examiner. There may be back copies in the Castlebar library and there are excerpts on the web. You could also try the court/assizes records. These are probably in the Public Records office in Dublin, or maybe even London. Again, there are excerpts on the web.
