I have the names of a few families who lived there (birth records mostly) but I have no idea how dense the population was on the west side of the lake there. It's pretty rough land to try to grow a living from. Anyone have any idea where I can go to find that info? Anyone have any idea who the landlord would have been there in that corner or who I could ask? I can't find an email address for the Northern Mayo Historical place up near Crossmolina or I'm sure they could tell me. I wish I had thought to ask those questions when I was there.
